Any salesperson will tell you that landing new business takes a repeated and concerted effort. Advertising is a natural part of growing a business. But you don’t need to use expensive advertising to effectively reach your future customer.
Put yourself in your prospect’s place – when you see advertising, would you make that purchase right then and there? Probably not. But when you see a product/ad over and over, you begin to recognize that company and begin to subconsciously trust that company as one who is legitimate and successful. But you can still model your advertising and marketing efforts after the successful companies that we have all heard of. Why have you heard of 3M, Coke, Fisher-Price and Old Navy and others? It’s because you consistently and repetitively see their name and ads.
While the thought of paid advertising may frighten you, don’t let it. It is something that you do need to include in your business plan to grow your business but, if researched, planned and executed properly, you will see results in the long run that you wouldn’t have dreamed possible.
